Nightly lodge rates turned into river cabin package prices for each reservation

Every stay in the catalog carries river cabin package prices that you can check with a pencil. We start from the rate the lodge, inn or cabin resort publishes for a unit two people can share, multiply it by the nights in the package, add any charge the lodge makes compulsory, and round up. Every dollar in the figure is a lodge rate or a lodge fee; on three stays part of it is still our estimate, marked below.

The office plans and reserves these stays from Austin and is paid by the lodge after you check out, so the figure holds only lodge charges, before tax; your written quote then replaces it with the lodge's amount for your actual dates.

Nightly rates and from figures for all eleven stays

Each row below comes from the rates for each lodge as we read them on October 30, 2026. Read across to see the nights in the package, the nightly rate we used, any compulsory lodge charge, the from figure for two people sharing and the matching figure per person. Tax sits outside every number in the table.

Turning a nightly rate into a from figure

The same four steps produce every number in the table, so you can repeat them yourself for any row.

  1. Take the nightly rate the lodge publishes for a room or cabin that two adults can share.
  2. Multiply it by the number of nights in the package, which is two or three depending on the stay.
  3. Add any fee the lodge requires of every guest, such as a cleaning or resort charge.
  4. Round the total up to the next $10 to get the figure for two, then halve it and round up to the next $5 for the figure per person.

Lodge rate, nights and fees inside each figure, and the hotel tax paid on checkout

Inside the figure: the nights in the package for two people sharing and every charge the lodge itself makes compulsory. Our planning and the written quote cost you nothing; the lodge pays the office a commission after your stay. On most stays the lodge publishes no compulsory charge beyond the nightly rate, so the figure is simply nights times rate, rounded.

Outside the figure: Texas state hotel tax of 6% and any local hotel tax, which the lodge adds when you settle up and which your quote shows on its own line. Also outside are the drive there and back in your own car, meals and groceries, and tubes, boats or park entry from local outfitters. Two stays add their own extras: the Gruene inn charges $25 a night for a third guest, and the Junction cabin resort asks you to bring your own bed linen and towels.

Three stays where our figure is still an estimate

Two cabin resorts on the Frio list cleaning and resort charges without publishing the amount. Until they put it in writing, we count $60 at Concan and $50 at Leakey. That makes Concan from $770 for two, or from $385 per person, for three nights, and Leakey from $680 for two, or from $340 per person, for three nights.

The Wimberley cottage is the third: the $211 a night is our working figure, taken from rates shown elsewhere for its cottages on 30 October 2026 rather than from the resort itself, so the $430 for two, or $215 per person, for two nights on the Blanco can move in your quote. For all three, the written quote states the lodge's real figure for your dates before you agree to anything, and that quoted figure is the one that counts.

Reasons a written quote lands above or below the table

The table shows a starting point, and lodges set their own rates night by night. Weekend nights and busy months often cost more than the published base rate, and a quiet weekday can cost less. A larger unit than the one in the package changes the nightly rate too, and an extra guest can add a charge at some lodges.

Your quote also reports how the river is running that week, because water in the Hill Country follows the rain and this fall has been dry. If you want to compare two stays side by side, send both in one request through the form, which accepts requests at any hour and costs nothing to send. For how the lodge handles changes once nights are held, see the cancellation terms.
